Supervision

I am a Board approved supervisor (with Clinical endorsement), supervising early career and seasoned therapists both individually and in group settings.

I provide group supervision for all streams of Cairnmillar’s Postgraduate Psychology and Psychotherapy programs, including the Advanced Clinical Masters program. I also provide supervision to Clinical Registrars, therapeutic teams in private Psychiatric hospitals and clinicians in private practice, both early career and seasoned.

I will support you to augment reflectivity in your practice – seeing illusive concepts like projections, transference and countertransference, parallel processes, and hidden communications. My approach to supervision is to guide us away from the more traditional patterns of responding. Instead, the supervision is guided by the therapist’s feelings and responses to their work with their clients. Use of imagery is also a powerful method to understand hidden dynamics that are at play. We would try and utilise relational psychodynamic, somatic, attachment-based, insight oriented, affect driven paradigms to deepen the relational aspects of therapy.
